Today I was forced by my father to attend a funeral service for an elderly woman I did not know. But being the respectful person that I was, I complied with him for I feel this woman’s life should be honored.

We started our journey from home to funeral at approximately 5 PM. We drove past numerous buildings with spanish signs on them. And on our way there I could not help but have a feeling something extraordinary was going to happen today…

The building was small and quaint, but there was food inside its humble walls so I was satisfied. I immediately went into the room containing the meat and bread. The room was nearly empty, but minutes later more people grieving for the loss of their loved one entered. They formed a line to gather food. As I scan the line of more people I did not know, my eyes rest upon the figure of a dashing young man! He was an angel sent from Gerry’s solar system heaven!

Throughout the night I sit and talk to my cousin, Alexis, and another young man I didn’t know while staying close to this mysterious, young man that grabbed my heart from first sight. Soon, the feeling I had before that something extraordinary was going to happen finally took place…

My cousin was sitting in a chair while I was sitting on the arm of it. We chatted like the two mature woman we were, until the handsome young fellow I had my eye on all night approached us.

“Sup.”

This “sup” was directed towards my cousin, who sat there unchanged by the word. I still sat nearby. I turn my head towards him, and as I did this, his towards mine. He utters the same word,

“Sup.”

My stomache is filled with butterflies! What should I say?!

“Sup.”

I reflect his actions. Adding a nod to my “sup” as a personal touch.

Just as I thought the night couldn’t get any better, another moment that will forever be stuck in my memory occured.

Still in the same position that I was, I sat staring out into space. Rewinding the moment earlier in the day when he had spoken to me. I snapped out of trance when I hear a thud on the floor.

I turn my head left to gaze upon a cellular device on the floor. And being the generous person that I was, I could not just leave this property on this disgusting, carpeted floor!

I bend down to reach for it just as the person owning this rectangular object bent down to retrieve it. I grab it first and look up to find that the owner of this cellular device is the same angel from Gerry solar system heaven.

“Thanks” is what he said when I gave it back to him. And during our exchange, our fingers brushed against each other. I could have melted and died from all the melting and be sent to Gerry solar system heaven at that point.

“You’re welcome.”

My night was complete.

What the hell I want to actually listen to a full song and not end it 30 seconds before it’s supposed to end.

I want to know who draws the crowd who plays it loud, BABY IS IT THE GUITAR MAN?

I learned “My Heart Will Go On” on piano.
